The civil engineering department is considered one of the oldest engineering disciplines; civil engineering involves planning, designing, and executing structural works. The profession deals with a wide variety of engineering tasks, including designing, supervising, and constructing activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, waterworks, sewage systems, ports, etc., and offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities. The Department of civil engineering was started in the year 2010. The department has well-experienced, dedicated faculty members with different fields of specialization: structural engineering, water resources, environmental, soil mechanics & foundation, and remote sensing. The department is well equipped with the latest equipment in the Survey Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, Hydraulics Lab, Concrete & Highway Engg. Lab, CADD Lab, Soil Mechanics Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, and Advanced Structural Engg. Lab.

Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at NPR College of Engineering and Technology.
It is my privilege and honor to lead a department that stands at the intersection of tradition and innovation. civil engineering is not merely a field of study; it forms the very foundation of civilization—from the water we drink to the roads we travel and the buildings we inhabit. At NPRCET, we take this responsibility with great seriousness and commitment.
Our department is driven by a clear vision: to produce competent, ethical, and globally competitive civil engineers who are capable of addressing the challenges of a rapidly urbanizing world. Our curriculum is carefully designed to balance strong theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on experience.
In recognition of the evolving industry landscape, we have introduced contemporary specializations such as Computer-Aided Drafting and Modelling, as well as IoT and AI applications in civil engineering, ensuring that our students are proficient in the latest tools and technologies from the beginning of their academic journey.
