The rapid advancement of computer technology has significantly transformed our lifestyle, culture, and economy. The department was established in 2008 with an intake of 120 students, with a vision to provide quality education and nurture competent engineering professionals. Since its inception, the department has been committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of students.

Our curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation in core areas such as programming, data structures, algorithms, software engineering, and computer networks. In addition, we encourage students to explore emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and Full Stack Development to meet industry demands.

We strongly believe in a practical-oriented approach to learning. Through well-equipped laboratories, real-time projects, and industry interaction, we ensure that students gain hands-on experience and are prepared to solve real-world challenges effectively.

Our department is supported by a team of dedicated and experienced faculty members who continuously strive to impart knowledge, mentor students, and engage in research and innovation. We promote a culture that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Apart from academics, we emphasize the importance of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged to participate in technical events, hackathons, coding competitions, and workshops to enhance their skills and confidence.

We also provide strong career guidance and placement support through training programs, ensuring that our students are well-prepared to meet industry expectations and build successful careers.

"Furthermore, the B.E. Computer Science and Engineering programme has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the academic years 2024–2025, 2025–2026, and 2026–2027. The accreditation is valid up to 30 June 2027."

At NPR College of Engineering and Technology, we aim to shape not only skilled engineers but also responsible individuals with strong ethical values. Our focus remains on discipline, innovation, and continuous improvement.
